Madame Pygolampida is a mysterious fortune teller.
Bio[]
After crashing through a tent at the Sodor Day celebration, Thomas encounters Madame Pygolampida, a fortune teller who claims she can foresee his future. When Thomas questions how this is possible, she demonstrates her ability using tarot cards, with Thomas choosing three which he feels drawn to. After seeing the first card, the king, she claims that Thomas is a natural leader, backed by the knowledge that he runs his own branch line. Thomas is shocked that she knew this, before realizing that a picture of his branch line hung on the wall. The fortune teller moves on to the next card: the globe, and tells Thomas that he will leave Sodor and travel all around the world, and even beyond. Thomas is bewildered, but the fortune teller is still not done. The final card, the butterfly, signifies that Thomas' future is full of drastic change, and that nothing will be the same for him again.
Madame Pygolampida's words trouble Thomas, leaving him feeling uncertain about his future. Seeking wisdom, Thomas returns to the fairgrounds, once again slipping and crashing into the fortune teller's tent. Yet again, Madame Pygolampida foresaw Thomas' arrival, and Thomas begs to know more about his future. While she is unable to elaborate on her prophecies, Madame Pygolampida does concede that Thomas' destiny is intertwined with that of another.
Following these events, Madame Pygolampida ominously stands upon The Old Iron Bridge, falling off into the swamps below. Upon reaching the murky waters, the fortune teller vanishes in a flash of light, indicating a connection to Proteus and the engine's plan.
